Orientation & Required Training - Foundations

New Employee General Orientation

UWMC Foundations is the means by which new employees are welcomed and introduced to the organization’s mission, vision, and values. This program assists new employees in gaining a sense of who we are and what it means to be a member of the UWMC team, and it also fulfills many of our compliance related training requirements. Permanent staff will be scheduled to attend Foundations which should coincide with their first day of employment.

Who must attend?

All UWMC Permanent (classified, contract classified, and professional staff) are required to attend this two day course within 30 days of their hire date. Please note that the two day orientation is from 8 AM to 4:15 PM.

The program consists of

  • UWMC Core Foundations
  • Safety
  • ARISE Essentials
  • Employee Benefits
  • Risk Management and more
