UWMC Softball Tournament
Date: Saturday, August 16, 2008
Interested in playing a team sport this summer? Why not gather your coworkers, family and friends to whack a few homeruns in the UWMC Softball Tournament! Take the field on Saturday, August 16, at the Lower Woodland Playfields near Green Lake. The top three teams win t-shirts and bragging rights!
Captains meeting is on Thursday, August 7, from 12-1pm in BB 389.

Pumpkin Carving Contest
Date: October 2008
Each department or unit can pick up a pumpkin to carve for the contest. This is a contest that allows employees to show off their creative skills. This event allows everybody to joining in the fun.
Winterfest
Date: December 2008
UWMC comes alive with holiday decorations hung throughout the medical center. Employees gather to decorate their units and collect food and toys for the less-fortunate. Activities occur throughout the month of December, highlighted by a breakfast social for the night staff, a cider and music social, and food delivered to departments. Be on the lookout for email communication and posters with details about each activity.
Snow Ski Program
Date: No ski program for 2008 season
UWMC Ski/Snowboard Program is taking a hiatus for this next season. You can contact uwmcski@u.washington.edu regarding winter 2009 season.
Service Awards Celebration
Date: March 2009
Classified and professional staff eligible for a Service Recognition Award in 2008 are invited to the Annual Service Awards Banquet, which includes music and gourmet food, along with an award presentation where they are publicly honored for their years of service.

Basketball Tournament

Summerfest
Date: August 2009
2008 Summerfest Theme: “Go Green!” with your colleagues and family at Summerfest on Friday, August 1, from 11 am-2 pm, along the Montlake Cut (behind UWMC next to the CHDD). Enjoy a free meal of hamburgers and hotdogs (veggie option available); participate in kids' activities in the arts & crafts area; learn more about featured UWMC departments; enjoy live entertainment; pose with your favorite car in the antique and green car show, and more! There will be prize give-aways, and the Blue Angels might even fly by! You don't want to miss this summer social.

5th Annual UWMC Golf Tournament
Date: August 2009
Keep the fun going by participating in the UWMC Golf Tournament on Saturday, August 2, at Willows Run Eagle Talon golf course in Redmond. Continental breakfast and box lunches will be served, and there will also be an awards ceremony and raffle drawings. Iron your polo, head to the driving range, and meet us on the green!
